Kanektok
River, Alaska

Float 90 miles on a week long trip through some of the
wildest and remote parts of western Alaska. True adventure begins
the moment you push off, leaving civilization behind. Immersing
oneself in the wilderness on the whimsical currents of a river can
be both a cathartic and humbling experience. Nature in its pristine
state is still one the great wonders of the world. It will touch
you deeply in places and ways you may not know existed, imprinting
indelible images on your psyche.
For
thousands of years rivers have cut their paths deep into the earth
witnessed only by native animals and annual fish migrations. Here
on the Kanektok is a chance to intercept and mingle with participants
in this grand dance deep within the Alaskan wilderness.

Everyone
should undertake an opportunity like this at least once in their
life, and there is not better place than on the Kanektok with the
skillful and seasoned staff of Dave Duncan and Son's who have been running trips here and other areas of Alaska for 27 years. Experience well planned gourmet meals, steady, knowledgeable
hands on the oars and safari style camping on the banks beneath
the splendor of some of God's best work.
The
Kanektok River supports healthy runs of nearly every species of
fish native to Alaska's flowing waters, king salmon in June and
July, silvers in August and September. Rainbows to ten pounds and
sea-run Dolly Varden to eight pounds add their own bit of spice
to the piscatorial smorgasbord available through the season. B&B
Adventures has been running these trips for over two decades and
each year's opportunities fill quickly. Book early!
