Professional Fly Fishing Guide
Licensed AK Bush Pilot

Born and raised in Gig Harbor, Washington, I had the advantage of fishing throughout the Pacific Northwest from a young age. My fishing career began at 6 and a fly rod was in my hand at age 9. I will never forget watching native cutthroats inhale my Royal Wulff on my first day fly fishing in the Cascades. I had my first Spey rod at the age of 12 and landed my first fly caught winter steelhead on that rod in the Skagit River. I attended College in North Dakota and spent every break either chasing fish in Washington or guiding in Alaska. I have guided for four years at two premier Alaska lodges and enjoyed seeing this beautiful region while guiding on many world class salmon and trout streams.

Being fortunate to live on Puget Sound for the majority of my life, I have been able to fish in my “backyard.” Sea Run Cutthroat trout have long been one of my fly fishing passions as well as the protection of these amazing fish. My other fly fishing passion is for Steelhead and their northern cousin the Alaskan Rainbow trout. Throughout the winter and spring you will find me swinging flies on fabled rivers like the Hoh and Skagit. I also love sight fishing to steelhead in smaller rivers and creeks. Survival and enhancement of Wild Steelhead in the Pacific Northwest is of the upmost importance to me.

As a Guide, I love sharing my experience and passion with other anglers whether they are novices or pros. It is your trip and I want to know what you hope to experience. My goal is that you will leave as a better angler and would have learned valuable information about the unique fisheries that I guide. I hope at day’s end your experience with me will make your future fly fishing endeavors more enjoyable and successful.
