Steve Brown and Ryan Davis of Colorado teamed up with Dave McCoy and started Emerald Water Anglers Colorado. EWA Colorado sits at the confluence of the Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers. Beautiful scenery mixed with big trout in big numbers put these legendary rivers amongst the best in the world. Steve and Ryan are Colorado natives with over 25 years combined international guiding experience and are proud to be Emerald Water Anglers first franchise.

Classic Full-Day Float Trips

Emerald Water Anglers offers full day fishing trips on the Roaring Fork and Colorado Rivers. We catch giant rainbows and browns from high quality dories and rafts through class 2 and 3 water. Lunch is not only included, but consciously prepared. We use a local baker with local ingredients to provide an exquisite lunch on the river. Ice cold drinks provided.

Price: $500 1-2 anglers

Magic Hour Fishing and Half Day Float Trips

Emerald Water Anglers offers a unique evening/sunset fishing experience offered by no other companies in the Roaring Fork Valley. Although most commercial fly-fishing trips are experienced during "business hours", an evening fish can be even more productive with less time commitment. This is a 2 ½ hour trip from 5:30-8:00 pm and can be experienced by boat or walk and wade. If you can adjust your dinner plans, fish with us during magic hour! And if you don't have time to fish for an entire day, fish with us for a half day in the morning or afternoon.

Price: $370 1-2 anglers


Special Multi Day Float Trips

2 -5 Days on 2 Rivers at our Bed and Breakfast

Emerald Water Anglers offers a unique all inclusive 2-day float trip offered by no other companies in the Roaring Fork Valley. Fish float day 1 on the Roaring Fork right up to our plush lodge ON the river. Step out of the boat, then dine, fish, and sleep on property until you launch the next morning and float into the Colorado River. An overnight fly-fishing trip with no camping! Wade fishing at the lodge is superb, and allows you to fish after dinner into the sunset. The lodge can host up to 6 anglers and we have a gourmet cook specializing is seafood and local steak. This is a perfect trip for families, couples, just the guys, or just the girls. Price for this trip is all inclusive: fishing, meals, drinks.

Steve Brown

Steve Brown has been guiding, entertaining, and befriending his fishing clients for over 15 years. He started an exclusive Caribbean saltwater fly- fishing lodge in the Bay Islands of Honduras called Fly Fish Guanaja, frequented by Dave Mcoy and his clients. Steve and Dave met in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison River when Steve started guiding many years ago. Despite Dave's mentoring, Steve has managed to create an amazing career in the Fly-fishing industry that is coming full circle in powerful ways with Emerald Water Anglers Colorado.

Ryan Davis

Ryan grew up in Glenwood Springs at the confluence of the Roaring Fork and Colorado Rivers. He learned to fly-fish and walk at the same time, it took him a long time to learn how to walk. Coming from a family of anglers and river people Ryan's destiny on the river was set before he was born. Ryan is one of the top fly-fishing guides in the Black Canyon and has boated and fished on virtually every piece of water in Colorado. He is excited to start Emerald Water Anglers Colorado literally in his back yard, so are his clients.
