Special Events June 3, 2017 – 3rd Annual EWA Fly Fest and Guide Cook Off – 10AM – 4PM @ Me Kwa Mooks Park – West Seattle – FREE The event we look forward to every year. Come join us for a fun day in the sun. Manufacturers reps are on hand to show off all the latest rod models from Winston, Sage, Scott, Echo, GLoomis and others, clinics by our talented EWA staff on the Sound, small mountain streams and steelhead. A host of IFFF certified instructors will be on hand as well. This will be our 10th Annual Guide Staff Cook Off where our guide team competes for the greatest shore lunch. 30 minutes and $40 to feed 3 people and you get to help choose the winner! June 3, 2017 -- Seattle Premier of Costa Sunglasses Film, "Slam" -- 7pm @ EWA Store -- FREE Join Karlie and our special guest Hilary Hutcheson as they host this film on 3 women who travel to the Florida Keys to take a shot at a Grand Slam, one of fly fishing's most difficult feats. Landing a bonefish, permit and tarpon in the same day, hard enough on its own merits but even more of a challenge in the formidable Keys. Georgetown Brewing will be handling the thirst quenching, donations will benefit Casting for Recovery. Get your tickets HERE! June 22, 2017 -- Carp! HOW, WHEN, WHY and WHERE -- 7pm @ EWA Store -- FREE Join us as we welcome Bill Marts to present on this long time available but rarely spoken of gem of a fly fishery here in Washington as he discusses, flies, equipment, tactics and locations for you to get out and see your backing with one of these! March 23rd April 6th April 20th Women’s Intro to Fly Casting – Lincoln Park -- FREE Karlie will be holding free fly casting classes. During this intro class you will learn the basics of casting and proper technique to maintain a clean, accurate cast. Great for the beginners and novices looking for a refresher.
