We recently fished the Thomas & Thomas 1208 DNA Spey Rod and loved it. We paired this rod with an Airflo 480 Rage Compact head which casts like a dream. Although this rod is an 8wt, we are fishing it as though it is a true, do it all, 7wt rod. This stick can slog it out with Skagit heads and heavy sink tips, but thrives with a longer line.
