Fly Fishing Hawaii – Big Bonefish

Species:  Bonefish
Season:  All Year
Capacity:  4 anglers
Cost:  $600 per day
Insurance: GLOBAL RESCUE

Hawaii, such rich tradition of fishing in the region and so many anglers passing through en route to another destination, all the while completely unaware of the unbelievable potential right here. Known for its blue water fishery, many don’t even think that a “flats” type fishery is anywhere near existent on the islands.

While fly fishing Hawaii, several islands have good bonefish flats such as Kauai, Molokai and Oahu however not all of the flats are easily accessible, many are either on military bases, require boat for access or you have to know where you are going to get to them.

Those who have fished here a lot, honestly believe there will be a world record bonefish caught in Hawaiian waters. We are talking about bones nearing and exceeding 20 pounds. This is not to say these are easy, dumb fish to catch nor are we saying that you should expect to find the enormous schools of fish you find in the Bahamas. What you can expect are some beautiful, challenging and nearly never fished flats within close proximity to some of the most popular resort communities in the islands.

We have good rapport with several guides on the islands and are happy to talk with you about which is a good fit for you.
